At one of the later appointments in my pregnancy, I remember my midwife asking me if I ever thought of having a birth photographer present for my son’s birth. Immediately I said “Oh no, definitely not”

…it wasn’t until I was emailed a couple of photos through that my doula had taken on her phone that I completely regretted that decision.

Of course, being in November 2020, I was incredibly lucky to even be allowed the two birth partners that I chose in the Midwife-led unit I gave birth in, so the option just wasn’t there for another body in the room.

However, when I now look back on this huge life-changing event, those photographs act like a portal whisking me straight back. Allowing me to transport myself back to the exact moment Isaac came along and made me a Mama; they will always be so treasured.

Far more than ‘just’ a picture, I can almost feel and hear what it was like - filling in all the blurs and blanks that childbirth brings along with it.

In my work as a Photographer, I vow to capture all of life’s biggest moments and so with that, I am so honoured to be chosen and asked into a woman’s birthing space to witness, and forever capture the most beautiful blessing of life.

What areas do you work in?

I am based in Somerset and offer UK wide coverage. However, wherever your wedding is, I’ll be there - my passport is ready to go! Travel throughout mainland UK is always included within your package. For destination weddings and elopements or where an overnight stay is required, I will just add on the price of flights and a cheap & cheerful AirBnB on to your quote. Do keep an eye out for any travel announcements I make - the stars may just align and we’ll end up on the other side of the world together - it’s happened!!

Family sessions generally take place in Somerset/Devon locations, however I am of course happy to travel to you! I just ask that my fuel costs are covered if it is a substantial journey from my home in TA3. I am always happy to offer location advice if needed.

My wedding venue requires proof of insurance - can you provide this?

Yes absolutely, I’m insured with PhotoGuard - I have public liability, professional indemnity, all of my kit and backups are insured just in case, and I also hold a DBS certificate.

We’d like to book - what are the next steps?

I’m so excited you want to work with me! Once you give me the go ahead, I’ll email over a proposal with your quote and contract in. To secure your date, all you have to do is sign the contract and pay a booking fee (for weddings, this is 25% of the package price and any other session is 50% of the session fee). After this, I’ll send all the necessary info along with a questionnaire over, and that’s you booked in! What happens if you are ill?

It’s not happened yet, however, I’m lucky enough to be in a community of many talented photographers who are able to stand in for me, should something happen. I have a team of reliable photographers who often work with me when I require a second shooter and are able to fill in as a main shooter. They will shoot the RAWs and deliver them to me for editing and delivery. The only difference will be the face you see on the day!

When will we receive our photos?

You will receive your final gallery & USB box around 8 weeks after your wedding day, although I endeavour to send it through sooner. I will send over some sneak peeks the day after, for you to share with friends and family or just keep to yourselves! For engagement/family sessions you can expect your gallery to land in your inbox within 2-3 weeks.

When you book in with me, you automatically gain access to my exclusive client closet with pieces to suit all styles and sizes. Finding an outfit for your session I understand can be a daunting aspect and I’m here to take that stress away; we will work together to style those in your session so you’re all feeling your best!
