Behind the Lens...
Growing up, the process of packing our lives into boxes and buying new school uniforms became routine to me and it was something our family became accustomed to over time. As technology advanced, photographs quickly developed into something quite special to me; I still have collections of boxes full of prints. Often, these pictures are the only things that we can take with us and so they serve as a way of pausing a moment to cherish forever.
As the second eldest of five children, although I'm not a parent, I can understand how fleeting childhood may seem and therefore how important it is to capture these moments.
What is my approach?
With a quick google search, it's clear how the classic white-background studio shot remains a popular style of photography. However, if I were seeking out a photographer, I would keep in mind the kind of photograph I would like hanging on my wall. Having a natural setting with warm, genuine smiles would sit much better than a commercial style image.
My style of photography therefore is very relaxed and (as someone who is much more comfortable behind the camera as opposed to in front of it!) I will work hard to make sure you and your family feel at ease and have an enjoyable day.
